Relapse Education: Is a one hour information and education group held on a weekly basis for twelve weeks. We run two groups per week to cater for the morning and afternoon shifts. Each group has been designed as an interactive session to explore the triggers of relapse, self awareness, old behaviours, coping mechanisms and positive growth in recovery.
-
i. Phase 2 Group: These therapy groups are held on a bi-weekly basis, for one hour, for those who have completed the relapse education course. They are open groups, exploring illicit drug use, addiction and recovery. It also involves setting goals and targets, medication reduction and working towards a drug free lifestyle.
The agendas for each meeting are then set by the group themselves. It includes setting aims and goals for themselves along with allowing them to air concerns, be they personal or work related.
ii. One-to-Ones: Along with the Relapse Education and Therapy Group trainees also have one-to-one meetings throughout their time on the project. These facilitate trainees being able to talk about issues they don’t wish to speak about in the groups.
-
Moving on Group: This group will be established for the trainees that are in their final year of C.E. These groups will explore and promote detox, maintenance reduction, careers planning, job seeking and work experience. We envisage that this group will be facilitated by the Support Worker and the Training Officer.
Our therapy programme refers our clients to support agencies that specialise in the areas of health, mental health, homelessness, detox, treatment, counselling, group therapy, holisitc therapy, and advocacy and family serivces, depending on their needs. |

All the time trainees are on the project they remain linked in with their Key Worker from the referring agency.
We are also linked in with the Voluntary Drugs Treatment Network and Citywide, both groups who provide support and information to communities, community groups and Special C.E. Drugs Projects.
